Set of four Zaphir Chimes

Zaphir chimes, well known for over 30 years, are appreciated for their quality, their crystal-clear sound, and their glowing colors.

They are totally heartmade ❤ in Zaphir workshops. With their harmonizing and relaxing sound, the Zaphir’s chimes have become over the years, a wonderful tool for relaxation, yoga, meditation, Feng Shui, sound-sessions and other forms of therapy.

The colors of the chimes were obtained from a particular “oil painting on water” marbling technique, which allows the Zaphir chime to retain its unique design.

Each chime consists of 8 piano wires soldered with silver on their metal base. They will then be tuned one by one to the tenth of a mm to obtain the precise chords that will allow the interaction of the harmonics when the pearl hits the wires in a circular random movement.

The resonance tube is made from thin layers of cellulose calendered under high pressure. By spiraling and sealing the multiple layers, a fine and hard cylinder is obtained, guaranteeing the acoustic qualities essential to obtaining a warm and crystalline tone.

The dimensions of the Zaphir chime correspond to the principle of natural balance linked to L. Da Vinci's golden ratio, a fundamental point for the quality of acoustic waves.

Most materials used to manufacture Zaphir chimes are environmentally friendly (Green-Label) and recyclable.

Suspended in the doorway or by an open window, a light breeze will surprise you with an enchanted melody. The chimes can be hung outside.
